An innovative ‘Recovery First’ model underpins everything at Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, with lived experience recovery fully integrated and visible throughout. Double Impact combine their specialism in lived experience and recovery with Framework Housing Association’s expertise supporting service users experiencing severe multiple disadvantage, together with Turning Point’s national experience as an outstanding substance use provider.
Lincolnshire’s residents will benefit from Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership’s highly integrated and highly localised approach, supporting with multiple issues across all parts of Lincolnshire, all from within the same partnership.

Family & Affected Others Worker
Contract Type: Permanent role working for Double Impact as part of the Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership
Location: Covering South of the County primarily Spalding, South Holland and some of South Kesteven (travel required within Lincolnshire)
Hours: 22.2 hours/3 days per week, Monday to Friday office hours but with flexibility to provide evening support groups and appointments as required
Salary: £15,069.60 (Full time equivalent £25,116 per annum)
Beacon Friends and Family Service is a new service to the Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership from 1st April 2025. The service will provide a safe place for anyone affected by somebody else’s use of drugs or alcohol and Double Impact are looking for a Lived Experience Family & Affected Others Worker to join the team.
As a Family and Affected Others Practitioner (with Lived Experience) you will be dedicated to supporting adults, young people and children over the age of 5 who have been affected by substance use. You will work with individuals and families to provide information and advice tailored to their personal circumstances and goals. Your aim will be to equip those you support with the knowledge, tools and emotional resilience needed to navigate the impact of substance use and enable them to focus on their wellbeing.
The role is varied, so flexibility, an ability to work dynamically on a one to one and group basis is vital, but we can help to shape these skills where needed. We also look for candidates with excellent communication skills and who share our values as an organisation. No day is the same in this role but an ability to communicate effectively with a range of service users, colleagues, and partner agencies is essential along with an ability to manage different tasks and a commitment to Double Impact values are essential.
This is an outreach service so flexibility, ability to drive and access to a vehicle are essential to be able to be able to provide the high-quality person-centred support needed.
Duties will include: -
• Effective case management of family member/affected others (may include young people and/or adults);
• Carry out comprehensive family/affected others assessments including assessment of personal strengths and identification of any risk factors;
• Formulate, monitor and review risk assessments and risk management plans to ensure safe guarding in place;
• Develop person centred support plans using a strengths-based approach;
• Deliver high-quality person-centred interventions in accordance with their needs.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
• Lived experience and knowledge of the issues experienced by those affected by substance use issues;
• Experience and knowledge of effective caseload management including assessing, managing risk, confidentiality and consent, and boundaries;
• Knowledge of engagement and support strategies;
• Strong organisational and IT skills;
• Ability to manage own time, prioritise and maintain accountability for own work.
