Volunteer roles Our volunteers come from all walks of life and bring a variety of skills and life experience to enrich our services... Anyone can apply to become a volunteer at Double Impact. The first step is a short application and an informal interview so we can get to know each other and explore what you want to get out of the experience. Then we will provide training in areas such as Professional Boundaries, Safeguarding and Drug and Alcohol Awareness as well as the specifics of your role, to make sure you feel ready. The role is varied and, similar to our Peer Mentors, you may be involved in helping to ensure groups run smoothly, taking someone to an important appointemnt, or simply being a sympathetic ear to one of our service users wanting a chat. There are also opportunities to become involved in fundraising planning and events. Any voluntary work involving working off the premises takes place in pairs and you will receive staff support and supervision throughout your role. Please call 0115 824 0366 or email [email protected] if you are interested in becoming a volunteer at Double Impact. Click here to see more volunteering opportunities.
