Our Academy service is located in a bright, welcoming building in central Mansfield, and is a hub for people in recovery to come to and get involved in learning, training, volunteering and other activities which enhance long-term recovery. With a state-of-the-art media and IT suite, and training rooms, the building provides a community asset which hosts a range of learning and training opportunities provided by community and FE organisations. Digital inclusion training is a key aspect of what we offer, equipping students with the necessary skills to be able to access and apply for jobs independently.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic we have been able to offer many of these services in an online format or over the telephone.

Recovery Recruitment is a grant- project which provides a range of support and activities which support recovery, including peer support, personal development groups, accredited course, social activities and volunteering opportunities. It also provides training to local employers around how to deal with drug and alcohol issues in the workforce, and raises awareness of the benefits of employing people in recovery. Opportunity and Change is a support programme for people with multiple and complex needs throughout Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Double Impact is a delivery partner in Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire.
The programme is being delivered by local organisations working together, with a range of experience of working with people with multiple and complex needs and aims to support people to achieve stability and provide access to mainstream services.
It is part of the national Building Better Opportunities programme funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Union through its European Social Fund. It is being managed by Framework, a charity and housing association dedicated to helping homeless people, preventing homelessness, and promoting opportunities for vulnerable and excluded people.
The Groundwork Greater Nottingham Towards Work project is part of the national Building Better Opportunities Programme.
